Mixed Nation Inspiration: Jasmine and Grandma

“Hey Mixed Nation, I’m a local singer, rapper, and DJ…I am half white, half black and I love being mixed (I think it shows in my music). I was the first mixed child in my family, this is a pic of me and my grams. She was very upset with my mother for marrying a black man, but in 1990 when I was born her whole attitude changed. She is my rock and we have been close my whole life…she still picks on me, but never about my race, just my piercings and tats!” -Jasmine St Julian
