16 Things You Should Never Say To A Mixed Person
Buzzfeed just came out with a video entitled, ’16 Things You Should Never Say To A Mixed Person”. We are definitely interested to hear what the Mixed Nation community thinks about this video! Can you relate to any of these sayings? Is there anything else that should be added to the list? Or are there some sayings in the video that you don’t mind being asked?

I’m a white woman married to a black and we have one son who is now 8 years old. When he was a baby a lady from church asked me if he was “Mexican” and when I explained that he was biracial, half black and half white the woman adamantly told me “Well, he just looks Mexican”. The whole situation was appalling. This video put some the most common things I’ve heard together.
HeatherJeanCarlock lmbo I get that my son is Mexican all the time….and his name is Gabriel one person told me if he is half black and half white why did you give him a Mexican name that just confuses people….umm last time I checked Gabriel is not a Mexican name and that was not a thought in my head when I named my baby that, That is something that irritated me lol
HeatherJeanCarlock Oh gosh, I’m adopted and people at my church said that I looked like my parents. And to make it worse, when I was in middle school NO ONE would believe I am part white.
I CANT STAND IT WHEN ONE RACE PEOPLE MAKE SNIDE REMARKS ABOUT CERTAIN RACES THAT I MIGHT BE MIXED WITH. I DONT THINK THEY’VE GRASPED THE CONCEPT OF WHAT THE WORD “MIXED” REALLY MEANS TO A MIXED PERSON. I DONT TOLERATE RACIAL JOKES AT ALL FROM ANYBODY. I THINK ITS IN BAD TASTE TO MAKE FUN OF PEOPLE IN GENERAL. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO BE THE BRUNT OF ANY JOKES. THATS ALL.
